The Nuclear Option.

President Bush again spoke on his European tour about the need to keep Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. Keeping in mind that only one country in the whole world has ever used a nuclear weapon against another country, I think that as long as the United States maintains a nuclear arsenal, we are not in a good position to dictate to any other country. Who are we to decide who should or should not have a nuclear weapon? At the moment, we seem to be one of the most bellicose countries in the world.

The U.S. and Russia are negotiating on downsizing both countries nuclear arsenals. Both countries seem to agree that 1700-1800 bombs a piece would be O.K... And we're worried about Iran having one. I think they call that irony.

Too Old to Love?

Last night, two women got married in San Francisco. It became legal for same sex couples to marrt and this eight something couple, who have been together for more than fifty years, were finally able to tie the knot. All I can say is congratulations!!!

There is a ballot iniative for Novembeer in California, to define marriage as one man, one woman. In a state like California, I can't imagine this passing, but these days, who knows... who has the greater will; the Gay community or the religious bigots.
